Personality

On the outset, Taiyo is bright and energetic. Full of warmth and kindness towards those around him, and of confidence over his present accomplishments and future goals. He doesn't come off as boastful however, as he is usually appreciative of both helpful criticism and praise. And he always seeks to be supportive and encouraging for his friends and classmates.
But in truth, he isn't always as sure of himself as he would like others to believe. In fact he struggles with many silent insecurities and fears of his own. Insecurities such as; His appearance, him being a burden on others, who he ultimately wants to be as well as who he is now... And whether or not he truly has the strength to persevere on his own.
These fears often lead him to overwork himself and overcompensate for the weaknesses and flaws he feels he has. He'll end up pushing himself to the brink of physical exhaustion or emotional breakdown, fretting over small aspects in his appearance or despairing over everything he has yet to prove to himself. These are things he only does in silence, seeing as he fears being a burden on others with his problems otherwise.
In front of everyone else, Taiyo rarely shows a sign that anything is bothering him and presents himself as the kind friend that can handle any form of pressure. He is a bit hot tempered though, as he will fly off the handle whenever someone either mistakens him for a girl or mocks him for implied feminine traits or attitudes. Regardless of his faults, Taiyo really is loyal to his loved ones an will protect and support them however he can.
