Standing at a tall 6 feet even Ryan is very skinny for his age.However he isn't unhealthily skinny it's just that most of his muscle is lean muscle. It still doesn't help that his long blue hair that goes down a little past his shoulder blades, looks heavier than he is. If it wasn't for the training with his dad he'd have a super feminine figure. Unfortunately, his figure is feminine enough that he got picked on about it in town. As a result of a bad hunting trip with his father he's got a large scar going down the middle of his back from when he got attacked by a wolf.As is mentioned before his hair is Blue but that's because he had it permantly died by a witch in town to match his tail. His eyes are a dark rich blue which, as he's been told, also match his tail.
When he changes to a merman which is hard for him to do on occasion not much of his appearance changes. His skin keeps it's barely tanned color, and his legs are replaced with a cobalt blue tail.
Personality
Although he can be very curious Ryan's shy nature sometimes stops him from learning things from people he doesn't know. He's never afraid of them, his dad taught him better than that but he just finds it hard to talk to people, preferring that the most talking he has to do to them is a nod or shake of the head to answer yes or no questions. He will answer any question posed of him even if he doesn't exactly know the answer. If he didin't know the exact answer he will always softly apologize for not knowing. Being very shy about people can affect if he's an elf or not and will frequently switch to merman form if startled too badly.

History
Born of an Elf and a Mermaid Ryan's parent's were so happy when he was born, and bas soon as he could learn they taught him both of their worlds despite the obvious fact that his genes were leaning more to the merman than the elf side of him. It was a great source of pride for his mother so He always worked hard with his Dad to keep the elf in him alive. He loved everything he was taught and was eager for more information from either parent whenever they offered it.
His parents worked from home most of the time and so instead of school with alot of his peers around him he was home taught by his parents though he was encouraged frequently to join them into town. and whle he took them up on the offer every time he always acted very shy in town. Loosenng up around the people who he and his parents frequently met because of their jobs slowly. His parents started taking him into town more often to get him used to being in crowds and he eventually was ok with going into town on his own and started to do so frequently especially when his parents were too busy to do so.
After a while of the same old thing day in and day out Ryan found his parents practically jumping up and down in the living room because of a letter he'd gotten from Andromeda. After they told him what it was he reluctantly aggreed to go and went to pack his bag for the new chapter in his life not entirely sure how comfortable he was with the change.
